NEW CONTENT COMING SOON – The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Center is designed to provide practical and helpful insights, advice, and a path to greater diversity and inclusion in every part of your organization.
The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Resources Center includes a number of important readings, research, and examples within our field. The League intends this space to be a useful repository for impactful resources to help change existing discriminatory systems and for musicians, managers, and board members of color to enter and thrive in the orchestra field. Over the next few weeks, the EDI Center will be updated and reorganized to ensure ease of access for all members. And we again affirm our own desire to learn, to evolve, and to act alongside you in this important work.
We’re especially excited about a new guide coming soon on actions that boards must take to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion in orchestras.
Please read this important statement expressing how the League of American Orchestras is coming to grips with its history of racism, reflecting on the impact of racism within the League and the wider community of orchestras, and committing to sustained action.
