Highlighting key diversity statistics, the League of American Orchestras Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Data Hub tracks the impact of our field’s equity, diversity, and inclusion work over time, and informs our collective efforts to accelerate change.    

Here, you’ll find racial/ethnic and gender statistics for orchestra musicians, conductors and music directors, staff, top executives, and board members, as well as for the composers whose work is performed.

The EDI Data Hub’s scope will be expanded throughout 2023 and 2024, and the data it contains will be regularly updated. Check back this summer for more.

2022 Orchestra Repertoire Report

A new report from the Institute for Composer Diversity, produced in partnership with the League of American Orchestras, finds significant increases in works by composers of color and women composers being performed by American orchestras.

The EDI Data Hub is made possible by generous grants from the Mellon Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, The Amphion Foundation, and The Aaron Copland Fund for Music, as well as by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
