Artistic Programs

The League of American Orchestras champions the great music of the past, with a steadfast commitment to the new and Black, Brown, and female-identifying voices that will shape and re-imagine our artform in the future. Through the League’s artistic programs, we raise the visibility of exceptional composers, conductors, and musicians. Members of artistic constituency groups regularly come together throughout the year to share, discuss, challenge, and support each other in conversations around the pressing topics of today; paving the way for a stronger, highly informed, and resilient orchestral ecosystem.

Composing

These programs are administered in partnership with key organizations including New Music USA, the American Composers Orchestra, & member orchestras.

Musicians

The League honors orchestral musicians and works to increase diversity on stage.
