National Alliance for Audition Support

The League of American Orchestras is thrilled to be part of the National Alliance for Audition Support, an initiative that began with a discussion at a Diversity Forum convened by the League of American Orchestras and the Mellon Foundation in 2015.
The National Alliance for Audition Support (NAAS) is an unprecedented initiative that transforms lives through a customized combination of mentoring, audition preparation, financial support, audition previews and addressing the systemic obstacles within Black and Latino communities.
NAAS is led by the Sphinx Organization in partnership with the New World Symphony, America’s Orchestral Academy, and the League of American Orchestras, representing 700 orchestras. A group of professional musicians act as thought leaders, guides, and advisors for the Alliance. NAAS is supported by the Dr. M Lee Pearce Foundation, as well as contributions from over 109 orchestras across the U.S.
