Take Action: Travel with Instruments
Orchestras, chamber ensembles, and individual musicians frequently travel in order to bring the experience of live music to audiences here and abroad. In order to facilitate domestic and international cultural activity, the League and its members work to support uniform policies that provide reasonable and reliable procedures for traveling with musical instruments.

Orchestra musicians traveling with instruments are subject to airline rules, Transportation Security Administration Requirements, and international customs endangered species rules.

Aviation Policy
When musicians travel, it is essential that musical instruments reach the final destination safely. The League advocates for uniform, reasonable, and reliable aviation policies that accommodate musical instruments as carry-on baggage or as properly handled checked items.
