Emerging Leaders Program
Congratulations to our 2017-18 Emerging Leaders Program class:
Nick Adams, Kathryn Boucher, Amy Chung, Brittany Hall, Christopher Harrington, Erin Horan, Kate Kammeyer, Leslie Marks, Gary Padmore, John Roloff, Todd Waldman, and Sonja Winkler
The League of American Orchestras’ Emerging Leaders Program is a ten-month leadership program offering mentoring by top leaders in the field, one-on-one coaching, and in-depth seminars with leadership experts.
Viewed by the orchestral field as one of the best sources of identifying and training talented senior managers with great potential, the program is the flagship of the League’s leadership development offerings. Participants are selected through a competitive application process based on their leadership experience and growth potential; their adaptive capabilities and collaborative skills; their diversity in experience and perspectives; their passion for and commitment to orchestras; and their potential to make a difference and influence the field in the years ahead.
Program participants take part in both in-person and virtual seminars; this year’s class will culminate with a joint presentation at the League of American Orchestras’ 2018 National Conference in Chicago. Renowned leadership development expert John McCann is the lead faculty and facilitator of the Emerging Leaders Program. Mary Parish is the program’s leadership coach, providing one-one-one coaching for each participant.
