About the Speaker
J.L. Nave, III (he/him)
Principal, Nave Strategies
A native of Nashville, Tennessee, J.L. Nave, III launched Nave Strategies in 2020 to provide practical advice and services for small and mid-size arts and cultural organizations. Through coaching, customized timesavers, and strategic planning, he helps managers lead with confidence and propel their organization forward.
Prior to starting his own consulting practice, Nave was a senior consultant for TRG Arts with whom he continues to have a strategic partnership. Most of Nave’s career has been with orchestras, including as President & CEO of the Baton Rouge Symphony (2000-2006) and Fort Wayne Philharmonic (2006-2014).
He holds a BA in Conducting from Belmont University, as well as an MA in Arts Administration and MBA from the University of Cincinnati. He is also an alumnus of the League’s Orchestra Management Fellowship Program.
