Playing Your Part: Advocacy in 2025

Originally recorded February 25, 2025
2025 marks a new year, new administration, and new session of Congress. With so much change, it can feel intimidating to get involved in advocacy, but a healthy arts ecosystem requires all of us to play our part at the federal, state, and local levels. Learn about key policy priorities, how to engage policymakers year-round, and pick up some tips from experts and peers well-practiced in speaking up for the arts.
Speakers: Tiffany Gourley Carter, Policy Counsel, National Council of Nonprofits; Marni Cook, Senior Director Community Engagement & Volunteer Services, San Francisco Symphony; David Holland, Deputy Director, Creative West; Joe Tackett, President, West Virginia Symphony
