NEA Awards 2nd Round FY22 Grants; Invites Public to Equity Listening Session
May 25, 2022
Last week, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) announced its second round of major awards for fiscal year 2022 in the category of Grants for Arts Projects, including support for 49 orchestras and numerous related projects. Applicants interested in FY23 awards should take note that the next deadline is July 7 for Grants for Arts Projects Part 2. Prospective applicants should be sure to tune into webinars hosted by the NEA and may wish to review the League’s updated Grant Tips for Orchestras, which note key information and several important changes.
The NEA has recently released the agency’s Equity Action Plan for Fiscal Years 2022-2026 (PDF) and earlier this year provided an NEA webinar regarding Federal Civil Rights and Your Grant Application. Next week, on June 1 at 2pm Eastern, the Endowment will host a listening session with Chair Maria Rosario Jackson on its Equity Action Plan. Registration is required and registrants will have the opportunity to submit questions in advance, with the request that questions be submitted by May 27, 2021.
