For decades, Black composers were conspicuously underrepresented at orchestras. But the past few seasons have seen an increase in orchestral performances of music by Black composers such as Florence Price, whose music was neglected for years, as well as music by living composers of color. Its all happening as orchestras seek to expand diversity and inclusion.
