Register

November 17, 2026

1:30pm Eastern/10:30am Pacific

Does your concert experience feel welcoming to everyone, including people with accessibility needs? At a time when one in six people in the U.S. has some sort of disability, if you’re not examining your accessibility plan, your doors might not truly be open to all.

In this two-and-a-half-hour digital workshop, you’ll discover practical approaches and best practices for both youth and adult accessibility from a panel of orchestra experts. Explore tactics such as sensory-friendly programming, mobility accommodations, and alternate venues, along with strategies to support people with hearing and vision differences. Equip your team to make sure everyone, including people with disabilities, can participate in and enjoy the orchestra experience

Speakers: Miranda Hoffner, Director, Accessibility at Lincoln Center; Rebecca Whitney, Director of Education, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra; and additional TBA

Who Should Attend?

Executive directors, general managers, operations directors and staff, patron services directors and staff, education and community engagement directors and staff, marketing directors and staff, volunteers, and anyone interested in accessibility in the concert experience.
