Volunteer Memberships
In This SectionVolunteers are an important resource to the orchestra community. The League thanks them for supporting orchestras everywhere.
Individual Volunteers – $165
We know how vital volunteers are to orchestras, so the League has worked with the Volunteer Council to create a membership to support volunteers just like you.
This special level of membership is designed to enhance the service you already get through your orchestra’s membership, including the volunteer online discussion group, access to digital learning events, and outstanding leadership and support from the Volunteer Council.
Your $165 annual membership fee for the League Membership for Orchestra Volunteers includes:
- $100 credit for your orchestra or association to use for any of our programs or services, such as the National Conference or digital learning events
- Bi-weekly roundup of orchestra news from Symphony and a copy of the annual print edition of the magazine
By joining the League at the Orchestra Volunteer level, you will have even greater access to the resources and knowledge you need to better support your orchestra. Plus, you’ll give your orchestra or volunteer association direct financial benefit in the form of a credit for any League of American Orchestras program or service.
After you complete your membership application, you will be contacted within one week with further information about using your benefits, including how to use your $100 credit.
If you have any questions about this membership, please contact Member Services at member@americanorchestras.org or 646 822 4010.
Volunteer Associations – $165
Volunteer Organizations of member orchestras are also members of the League. If your orchestra is not a member but your Volunteer Organization would like to join, you can do so for $165, and receive the following benefits of membership:

- Meetings – National and regional meetings of personnel involved in specific orchestra activities including management, marketing, development, finance, education, and volunteering are held through the year.
- Employment Search – The League maintains a web site, jobs.americanorchestras.org, where member orchestras may post vacancy announcements for administrative and conducting positions, and Individual Professional Members may post their resumes.
