At a Glance: Visa and Tax Policies for Foreign Guest Artists
The League is a global leader in helping artists - and the organizations that present them - as they navigate the U.S. visa process and tax withholding requirements. In a coordinated effort with other national performing arts organizations, orchestras are working with the White House, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), State Department, Treasury, and Congress to urge ongoing improvements to the visa process and tax procedures.

At a Glance: Nonprofit and Artist Tax Policies
Orchestras, in close partnership with the broader nonprofit community, seek to protect and improve incentives for charitable giving. As Congress considers follow-up to tax reform, and as policy leaders intensify their focus on potential new regulations for nonprofit governance, administration, and demonstrating community benefit, the League makes the case for orchestras’ public impact.

Bruno Walter National Conductor Preview: Roster of Past Participants
Since 1995, the Bruno Walter National Conductor Preview, a program of the League of American Orchestras, has been the premier showcase for talented conductors in America. To date, 80 conductors have been featured through competitive selection, and more than 50 orchestras have engaged these conductors for various appointments as a direct result of the Preview.

The Bruno Walter National Conductor Preview is a prestigious showcase of talented conductors poised for music directorships and major staff conducting positions of American orchestras. Conducting Master Classes offer opportunities for conductors to work with leading music directors, often at the League’s annual National Conference with the host orchestra.
