Ford Musician Impact Fund
Orchestra musicians are now recording “at home” performances and creating educational programming for virtual broadcast in support of their organizations during the pandemic. Increasingly, sound and video quality have become an important metric for a successful online experience. The Ford Musician Impact Fund will assist musicians in need of hardware and accessories to make their digital presence stronger, giving them the professional tools they need to deliver at the highest level in our current reality. Applications for the Impact Fund will be accepted until all funds have been distributed.

Happy Holidays from Our CEO and President, Simon Woods
Dear Friends, Some of us have already celebrated our holidays, and others have them coming up this week. Most of us are gathering in smaller groups than ever before, missing the friends and family whose closeness makes the holidays so special. And all of us will watch the arrival of 2021 with a mixture of deep sadness at those lost to the pandemic and racial injustice, anxiety for the hardship that so many have endured, gratitude to the medical professionals across the world who have saved lives, and admiration for the extraordinary science that has seen vaccines arriving in months not years. - Simon Woods

FY19 Challenge America
The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) awarded 100 grants to orchestras through the Grants for Arts Projects categories in FY2019, totaling $2,212,500. In FY19 orchestras directly received NEA grant support through Challenge America and Art Works in the discipline categories of music, arts education, and media arts. Awards to all arts disciplines through the NEA’s largest grant categories – Art Works and Challenge America – numbered 2,087 and totaled $48,495,000.
