A League of American Orchestras leadership development seminar, Is Your Board Optimized?, will be in New York City on Thursday, May 2, 2019.

The orchestra-savvy author of Boards on Fire! Inspiring Leaders to Raise Money Joyfully, Susan Howlett, will lead our full-day seminar and you will leave knowing what highly-effective board members know—the proven-practices that don't cost money and, don't require more time, but result in optimized boards.

Our board members are great people who are dedicated to our orchestras, but we don't always get optimal value from them as governors, ambassadors, and fundraisers. Find out what's holding them back and how to remove those barriers, so they can bring all their gifts to the table with ease. You'll leave this interactive, hands-on session with practical, no-cost steps you can take right away, using resources you already have.

Perfect for board-staff teams, this practical session addresses the complementary roles board members play in their organization's governance and resource development.
