The Getty Education and Community Investment Grants Program
In partnership with the Ann and Gordon Getty Foundation, the League has awarded grants to member orchestras starting or expanding program work within their communities. Twenty-two innovative orchestra educational and community partnership programs from across the United States have been selected by the League of American Orchestras to receive first-year Getty Education and Community Investment Grants.
A prerequisite for qualifying orchestras was the existence of partnerships with local cultural and/or community organizations, such as schools or social service providers. Grants were awarded only to programs that established long-term relationships and could not be used to create new organizations or support single events or activities that do not establish long-term relationships.
