Take Action TODAY! - Senate Amendment Could Prohibit Stimulus Funding for Arts Centers (02/04/09)

Washington, D.C. - Your advocacy is needed to protect orchestras in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Bill of 2009.  Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) has introduced an amendment (filed as Amendment No. 175) to prohibit funds in the economic stimulus bill from going to museums, theaters, and arts centers.

This amendment may be offered as early as today, Wednesday, February 4th. Contact your Senators today and urge a NO vote on the Coburn "Limitation of Funds Amendment No. 175."
